These terms apply to purchases made from Aware and Safe through awareandsafe.com. By placing an order, you agree to these terms and the policies linked on our website, subject to any rights that cannot be limited by law.
Our products and orders
We sell books in digital formats, including ebooks and audiobooks. Printed books may be offered in the future; availability, delivery options, and shipping charges will be shown before you place a print-book order. An order is accepted when we confirm it or make the purchased digital product available.
Prices, currency, and taxes
Prices are displayed in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes and any shipping charges are shown at checkout before you submit your order. You are responsible for providing accurate contact and delivery information.
Digital products and permitted use
After payment, we provide access to the digital files included in your order. Digital books are licensed for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell, share, publicly distribute, or commercially reproduce the files, except where the law permits. See our Digital Products and Downloads page for delivery details.
Payment and security
Payment is collected through the payment methods displayed at checkout. Payment processing may be provided by Stripe or another listed provider under that provider’s terms. Do not send payment-card information to us by email.
Refunds, cancellations, and delivery
Our Refunds and Cancellations and Shipping and Delivery policies explain how we handle those requests. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that apply under consumer-protection law.
Intellectual property and site use
Books, text, artwork, and other site materials are owned by Aware and Safe or their respective rights holders and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the site lawfully and may not interfere with its operation or attempt unauthorized access.
Errors and availability
We may correct pricing, description, or availability errors and may cancel an order affected by an obvious error, refunding any amount paid for that order. We aim to keep the site available but cannot promise uninterrupted access.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rights in the place where you live.
